Scam Alert

Updated: Apr 20, 2021

There are some really unscrupulous people out there and we want you to be informed so you don't get scammed by them.

We have an entire page dedicated to giving you the information you need to avoid being scammed by these so-called 'carpet cleaners'. There is some really good information there.

But are addressing some NEW things that have come up in the last year in dealing with the pandemic.

  1. Sanitizing- Having your house sanitized because of the pandemic is not necessary unless there has been a confirmed case of covid-19 in your house. So, unless it would just make you feel better there is no need to hire a professional to sanitize your home if there has not been a confirmed case in your house. If you have had a confirmed case then it is a good idea to sanitize everything in your home. Wash your bedding and clothing. You can spray a sanitizer like Q64 on all hard surfaces like your counter tops and appliances. You can even spray it on your upholstery (before doing so, test an inconspicuous spot to make sure the Sanitizing Spray does not harm the upholstered material). If you have hard surface floors you can spray them too. However, if you have carpet and area rugs, I recommend having a professional clean and sanitizer those.

  2. There are no known chemicals that have a lasting residual effect on the covid -19 virus. So once you sanitize everything if there is another possible contamination you will have to do everything again. Of course that means, if someone is trying to sell you a Sanitizing Spray they claim will have a lasting effect against recontamination, that is just not true..

If you have any questions at all about how Citro's Carpet Cops can help you have a cleaner and healthier home environment- give me a call. I'd love to talk to you. - Jeff
